Seed saving and food preserving

  • Soloro 6447 Webster Road Creston, CA United States (map)

Discover the rewarding practice of saving your own seeds and preserving the genetics of healthy, locally adapted plants. During this hands-on workshop, we'll take a guided walk through the garden to identify crops that are ready for seed harvest and discuss how to recognize when seeds have reached maturity.

You'll learn a variety of seed-saving techniques for different types of vegetables and flowers, including how to harvest, clean, dry, and properly store seeds for future planting. Each participant will package their own seeds to take home, giving you the opportunity to continue growing these varieties in your own garden.

We'll wrap up the day by sharing a delicious lunch and enjoying time together in community.
